Spicy Chicken Chow Mein

This extremely popular takeaway meal can be made at home! Our recipe for Chicken Chow Mein can be made in 30 minutes using chicken, mixed vegetables and our Spicy Dipping Sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 Cups Chow Mein Noodles - cooked according to package directions
- 1 Cup Raw Chicken - cut into bite sized pieces
- 1 Red Onion - thinly sliced
- 1/2 Cup Carrots - thinly sliced
- 1/2 Cup Bell Peppers - thinly sliced
- 1/2 Cup Cabbage - thinly sliced
- 3 Tbsp Sesame Oil - divided
- Salt and Pepper – to taste
Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Sutter Buttes Spicy Dipping Sauce
- 4 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 3 Tbsp Sutter Buttes White Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce - optional
Garnish
- 3 Tbsp Scallions - thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
Directions
- Heat a wok or large skillet and add 2 tbsp sesame oil.
- Add all the vegetables and sautée on high heat for 2 minutes. Remove vegetables from pan and set aside.
- Add remaining 1 tsp sesame oil to the pan and sautée the chicken for 3-4 minutes.
- While chicken is cooking whisk sauce ingredients together in a small bowl.
- When chicken is cooked through, add the sauce, salt and pepper stir to combine and sautée for one minute. Reduce heat to medium and return the cooked vegetables to pan, stir and sautée for 2 minutes.
- Finally, add the boiled chow mein noodles and sautée for another 2 minutes - tossing to combine all ingredients.
- Turn off the heat and transfer the spicy chicken chow mein to serving dish.
Sprinkle with scallion and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
