Indian Chai Tea

A delicious morning beverage or afternoon pick-me-up. Masala chai, authentic as it gets!
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups whole milk
- 3 strong black tea bags
- 1 tablespoon Sutter Buttes Chai Spices
- ¼ cup Sugar – or to taste
Directions
- First, bring water, milk and chai spices to a simmer in a small saucepan on the stove.
- Next reduce heat and add in the black tea bags. Wait for tea to steep –about 5-6 minutes.
- Add sugar to desired sweetness.
- Finally, strain the warm spiced mixture into a mug; this will hold back some of the spices and tea bags or leaves and enjoy!
