Chicken Shawarma

Ingredients
- 2 chicken thighs or breast - boneless
- 1 tsp Sutter Buttes Pink Himalayan Salt
- ½ tsp Black Pepper
- 2 tbsp Sutter Buttes Arbequina Olive Oil - (1 for marinade and 1 for sautéing)
- fresh parsley
- 1 lemon
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tbs Sutter Buttes Shawarma Seasoning
- Optional toppings: chopped lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onion
Sutter Buttes Yogurt Garlic Sauce
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 2 tbsp of plain yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- salt/pepper to taste
- 1 tsp fresh parsley
Directions
- Cut chicken into ½ inch cubes.
- Marinate chicken with salt, pepper, parsley, minced garlic, juice of 1 lemon, and Shawarma Seasoning. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a pan.
- Sauté chicken unit cooked through.
- Warm pita and assemble with chicken and desired toppings.
- Top with your favorite condiments including our garlic sauce (recipe below) or hummus.
Sutter Buttes Yogurt Garlic Sauce
- Mince garlic
- Whisk mayo, yogurt, lemon juice, fresh parsley and garlic together.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
