Hamburgers are great for cookouts or casual dinners. Our Onion Balsamic Jam takes burgers to the next level… we mixed it in and put it on top of these Onion Balsamic Cheddar Cheese Burgers. You’re gonna love them!
1.5 lb ground beef
3 tbsp Sutter Buttes Onion Balsamic Spread
1 tsp pepper
½ tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder
4 slices extra sharp cheddar cheese
4 hamburger buns
Optional Toppings: Lettuce, Tomato, Sliced Onions, Mustard
In a bowl, gently combine ground beef, 1.5 tbsp Sutter Buttes Onion Balsamic Spread, pepper, salt, and garlic powder. Form the burgers in 4 patties (Approx ⅓ lb for each burger patty). Use your thumb to make a shallow indent in the middle of each patty – this will keep the patty from shrinking up too much when cooking. Heat grill over medium high heat. Sear burgers for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked. When almost finished cooking, add cheese slices and close grill to melt cheese. Top burgers with additional Sutter Buttes Onion Balsamic Spread, and add desired additional toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, condiments, etc).
